Selling a Domain Name.

About 3 years ago a bought a domain name. It's my daughters initials and a year.

Anyway. Seems due to an upcoming sports event someone wants to buy it. I told the buyer it would be 300 quid and he's up for it...

So how best to execute 'the exchange'?

Unmarked notes. Leave the domain in a duffle bag in a telephone kiosk.

you can use stuff like escrow.com for larger amounts of cash.

Depends if its a .co.uk (or a few others - see nic.uk).

If it is a co.uk then its quite easy. You fill in a form from above site and send it to them with a covering letter telling them you want to sell it to X (with £12.50 I think). X then sends a letter to nominet. Thats it I think.

Make sure you get paid before sending the letter !

This is all useless if its not a .co.uk - you will have to see the registrar that you bought the .com/.net etc off.
