Anyone recommend a hotel in Dublin?

I'm off to Northern Ireland for the se7ens.net tour next May, and I'm not exactly keen on the 8 hour ferry crossing from Fleetwood to Larne, particularly as it sails at 10pm and arrives at 6am. Strikes me that doesn't make for much of a night's sleep...

So I think I'll take the Holyhead-Dublin/Dun Laoghaire the afternoon before and check out Dublin for the evening.

Can anyone recommend a hotel in sensible walking or taxi distance from the middle of Dublin? Must have covered parking with it as I'll be in the Caterham.

Jurys Christchurch is on the edge of Temple Bar and has covered parking. Its a bit cheap and chearful, but its in the right area.

I stayed in the Gresham on O'Connell street not too far to walk to most of the central areas and parking in the adjoined NCP (?)

Do not under any circumstances stay in a Jurys Inn in Dublin...

The Gresham is good but i'm not sure about covered parking.

Stayed in the Blakes Townhouse over St Patricks once and it was very nice

Budget up to £100 for the night I guess. I'd rather avoid anywhere that requires an NCP carpark after the car was burgled in the public parking by the Ibis hotel in Boulogne. Didn't really expect the hood to be stolen off the car :$

Try the Hilton Dublin in Charlemont Place. They have underground, secure parking and location is pretty good. Luas line right outside will take you to St. Stephens green in five minutes. Also close the Ranelagh Village with some good eateries (including a Michelin starred restaurant, Mint)

The Jury's in Christchurch should be ideal.

The car park isn't huge though.

You may be able to pre-book a space.

The Arlington or its sister hotel.

The main hotel has a fantastic nightlife.
