Thin Expensive Socks

What's the point in them, why are the expensive socks so thin and why do people spend so much on them when they are totally useless?

I thought I'd try a pair the other day and quite frankly they are terrible, I may as well be wearing those little ankle length pantyhose things that some women, they offer little comfort and are soaked with sweat in a few minutes of walking in hot weather.

What do you consider expensive and what shoes were you wearing with them?

Pantherella socks and Lloyds shoes.

Around £20, hardly a large amount but probably enough to buy 8 pairs of 'normal' socks from M&S.

If you pull a normal sport sock over your head, you wouldn't be able to rob a bank easily.

Also, pulling knickers over your toes makes you look silly.

Hence, thin, expensive socks.
