Popped to get an early sandwich and spotted corned beef on the menu, I had to have it and a corned beef and pickle sandwich was mine.

Exclaiming the merits of it back at the office I was amazed to hear that I am in the minority when it comes to enjoying the tinned treat. It got us through the war for gods sake.

I should ban myself for posting a pointless topic, but surely I can't be alone in enjoying it, or am I?

I do like a bit of corned beef, but when pickle is involved in a sandwich you can't beat some grated cheese! smile

Good Corned Beef is yummy.

Great in a ploughman's or in a sandwich.

I've had some stuff that wasn't good enough, mind.

I have been known to open a tin, put it on a plate and with a little brown sauce and some pickle just tuck into it on its own lick ...

With chips or with salad It's corned beef
Even Buckingham Palace eats corned beef

lovely stuff - sandwich is good with pickle, but you can't beat corned beef fritters with a selection of saucy dips.

home made corned beef pasties are fantastic, as is panakalty, corned beef sarnies, corned beef cheese and onion toasties, and corned beef hash, though not all at once.

I really fancy some corned beef now. There isn't any in the house and it's freezing outside.
