TD5 Disco Release bearing

Hi

I'm looking at getting a TD5 Disco but the one i'm looking at has a slightly noisy clutch release bearing, am i right in thinking it's a nightmare of a job i.e. engine out? (May as well do the clutch D/M Flywheel at the same time?)

Can the job be done by just removing the gearbox?
