Is it just me or do most of us think Sprint is a bit dated and crud?
It seems that most RO's and other contributers are scared of criticising in case they get "cut off".
This is supposed to be "Our" magazine.
Dont get me wrong, we all want to hear about the Tuscan teams, events, and new cars etc. There is good info in the RO's section about the previous month,
But:
What about the problems - and how they are resolved
What about a "DIY" type section for each model
What about an "AA" typre guide section
What about technical detail on all engines and cars
Less drivel and more substance please!!
I am sure this will get plenty of comments good and bad but that all good for the debate.

Sprint is always appealing for contributions and right now this is likely to be even more important than usual.
These are good ideas; just needs someone to do something about turning them into material for Sprint!
The content of Sprint is pretty exceptional compared to other car clubs. A comparison with Evo, etc is unfair as they have large editorial teams and some of the best snappers in the world. Sprint is what we make it!

I agree it is a TVRCC members magazine written by TVRCC members. I am sure if someone was to write the sort of articles you want to see they would be published. Sadly the editor can only work with the material we the members supply, it is after all not a magazine like EVO with a huge editorial staff.
Also for the technical stuff, the contributor needs to know what they are talking about otherwise the members will complain if they followed the instructions and damaged their car.
Your views would be better addressed to the TVRCC Comittee or the Editor directly, as this site has nothing to do with Sprint.
Be careful though, they will ask you to help.

I do not want to prolong this thread at ALL...but I'm sorry....As an RO (Mid Essex)I really take exception to that comment.
I think the editor we have now, a one man team, is doing a superb job with Sprint. I think that compared to other car club magazines e.g. the Triumph Register and the Jaguar Owners club magazines it is exceptional and all credit goes to Tony for putting it together.
There will be a new editorial team shortly.
May I suggest that you start writing some of the stuff you wish to see as your contributions will be gratefully accepted.

Could some of the Independent specialists be cajoled into doing some "How to change a..." type articles?
Simply snapping a job as it is done with a digi camera and writing a caption for each pic has got to be an easy article to produce.
It would be free advertising for them after all.
And what about a technical Q&A section?
Oh, and for what it's worth I think Sprint it pretty damn good anyway

It would be good to see more articles of this nature.
Remember some readers are not yet TVR owners.

Not really, ie try doing better yourself and see how far you get. But the logo could do with a 20-year facelift.

Anything that highlights TVR problems can be seen as anti-Factory and hence often brushed under the carpet for fear of causing upset. This is regrettable but understandable. For the same reason there is no technical helpline for Griff and Chimp (abolished after complaints for fear of upsetting dealerships), even though these are no longer current models. PH has probably taken over in both respects anyway.

There have been articles on these subjects, especially in the past, and I remember a very thorough exposition (?) about wheel and tyre sizes not long ago. But Sprint relies on such information and articles to be submitted by someone - eg TVR Engineering, various experts (who if they divulge all their info will probably lose income); road test reports need copyright permission from the publisher and so on.
