hi all,

having had my 328 saloon e46 rear subframme tear and bmw very kindley fixing this for nothing and giving me a honda accord as a loan car for the last 4 weeks , bmw rang me today to let me know that bodyshop has replaced the floor and they need to do kds wheel setup but cant as who ever fitted new control arm bushes fitted them incorrectley, i had a local bmw indie fit them in kent and he even let me watch, he used so much oil, grease, wd40, and any other slippery substance he had lying around to get the bushes on the arms, bmw told that because of this the car dose not sit properley, + i need a new ball joint and this work has to be done before they can do wheel alignment told this will cost in the region of 500 pound + vat dose this seem right?

The wishbones cost something like £180 from the dealers each, so that price isn't totally unreasonable. Could you pm me which indy in Kent it is you used as I'm in need of a service soon.
