I don’t think there ‘Front heavy overweight poor handler’ there is a bit more weight at the front but my step dad had one and it handled fantastic and was quick too.

Think about it as a ‘Dream come true, performance through light weight.....with a mahoosive V8’

Bonkers in the most fantastic way.

The last V8 seven I came across had a 4.3 Rover V8 in it. I struggled heroically to keep up with it on the Dunstable hoon and failed, only to be told over a bacon butty later that morning that 'I was pulling away in second as the clutch is slipping a bit and first is next to useless'

I've got a Rush V8 and obviously it's not as light on its feet as a Caterham or a bike engined 7, it's still better than most other road cars in terms of chuckability. If you approach it from the point of view of it being a hot rodded 7 then you'll be in the right area.

The real beauty of the V8 is that it can be fast and loud or quiet and calm depending where in the rev range you are. I can cruise in mine for hours on end comfortably if I need to but still get a glorious soundtrack with a gentle squeeze of my right foot. smile

I have a 5L Westfield, it will keep up with most cars! the great thing is that after 60mph, you don't have to change gear, just use the 350lbs of torque. Mine weighs in at 690kg so about 480bhp per tonne.....

Mines up for sale as well!

Assuming you'd consider a Rush this has just come up for sale and is an excellent car.

One thing that many forget is how light the RV8 is compared to other engines. It's pretty similar in weight to the Pinto engine, but with 4 more cylinders and more power!

Blimey Barry, that's impressive! It must have more in common with driving a hover craft than a car!

If we're talking bonkers V8s then how about this one below. I don't know how he sees where he's going either.
