This would be very, very easy to set up yourself for about 2-3 quid - and you could probably do so with fewer wires.

I am working abroad at the moment so have not seen my S1 for months....but doesn't the footwell light up anyhow, when the door opens????

If so, a new bulb is all you need.

You're right. The interior light is on the underside of the dash so it effectively is doing the same thing. The one in the link looks brighter but blue would be [polite mode] an aquired taste.[/polite mode]

Why would you care about the light. Get on with driving it.

Anyone who has not been in the car before will be more bothered about been driven not admiring the lights

I can see the point of the multiple LEDs in a strip, to provide even lighting rather than a single bulb in a rocker (like the one on my Exige) which comes straight off a 1970's car.

But blue? Errr, no. White would be sensible and wouldn't have the chav connotations.

Those of us who have been members of the VX220 community have already had to deal with the chavs moving up from Novas with tuned C20LETs (they're often faster in a straight line than the VXT, embarrassingly) - perhaps the cheaper S1 Elises are now falling into chav hands??

Let's hope it ain't so and insurance premiums keep 'em away. That said, there was a 40+ page thread on SELOC with people clamouring for louder hi-fi speakers for all types of Elise, S1 and S2.... what's that all about then? hehe
