Glovebox trim takes about 2 minutes to take off - a couple of torx head screws

From memory the wood around the gearbox just lifts off.

The cup holder section is the most awkward - you have to remove the integrated phone/rear pen holder, undo the bolts. Do the same with the front pen holder and then lift the whole top of the centre console away. Remove the cup holder (2 smaller screws) from this assembly.

Replace with your chosen trim. Don't forget the trim on the back of the armrest if you want to do a complete job.

Allow about an hour if you've never done it before.

I have no idea what the trim costs, but seeing as there are only 4 pieces it can't be OTT.

I haven't done it for about 3 years so allow a bit of error in the description, but It's not difficult.

BUT - Price up the parts from Volvo !

I have one with Silver inserts my wife would like wood...

There isn't a pack to change but the dash insert alone was £200+VAT !!!

The one for the ashtray was £50.

So I'd suggest finding someone who wants to swop.

(Did I mention I have silver)

love to do swapsies - alas the 7 seater idea has 80% been kicked into touch now, just dont think we will use it enough to warrant the extra expenditure...

Sure someone on here/volvo forums would be up for it?!
