I was about to post this topic. The only one I have anything close to respect for is the eldest (William?) At least he gives the impression that he wants to get his life back in order. That silly daughter, my God, "You have to write your CV and everything." "Give me a job and I'll do it"

My parents in law are permanent layabouts. Got the Wii, other games consoles, surround sound, holiday in France this year. They never get up before 3pm. They have two sons aged more than fifty between them and neither of them are even energetic enough to sign on. One's scared of leaving the house (unless someone invites him to the pub and has to pay for his drinks all night) and the other can't get a job because he 'has trouble sleeping'. Except during daylight hours. Sleeps really well then.... Grrrr!

It seems to quite a coincidence, and now becoming a very popular excuse among the hardcore unemployed to claim to have 'panic attacks' or 'stress' when the screws are finally turned and they are threatened with having their benefits withdrawn. Reading through the whole story I feel bad for her. She seems genuing about wanting to work. I can't imagine what it would be like to have to find a job after 40 years as a house wife/ mother. Hopefully some body will be willing to give her some hours cleaning and she won't be to proud to turn it down. The childrens father was stabbed to death, although they were already seperated.

As a person who works in a further education college I can confirm that there are opportunities for EVERYONE! In fact, if Mrs Lazy Waster came back to college she would have funding practically thrown at her.
And once again the Scots look like aholes. Only a matter of time before this thread goes like all the others and becomes a "Scots are all lazy wasters" thread... makes me sick.
...and I noticed she can afford to keep pets and smoke.

We pay, we should have more say in where our money goes.
All the bleeding heart liberals who actually think it's ok to pay to support the lazy and feckless can put some of their taxes in a pot, and the total can then be split between the layabouts.
The taxes that the rest of uspay, sorry 'pay' suggests one is getting something in return for it, so 'give' - could then be put to better use.

at the moment I am working from 7am til 6pm to get just over that take home per week ..... and she doesn't even get out of bed
