Seeing as I'm local (but not regular in here) and as anything that gets posted in the P&P gets swampped with nonsense I'm turning to the SAS for suggestions.

I'm moving to Belgium in the New Year, and will need a car, I could import the Porker, but I could use the new job as a good excuse to get a new car.

Soooooo, what car should I look at? Not sure on the budget, let's say £2.5k for the moment, but the twist on this one is that it has to be LHD, otherwise anything is fair game. Doesn't have to be practical, but needs at least a soft roof.

Do your worst folks smile

But do you have any links? I'm stuck at finding any fun LHD cars to buy over here. Lots of Citroen Belingo / Scenics...

Hmmm, I've thought about them, but are they a little girly? I've never really seen them as a good car to drive...

Maybe a tad over your budget but if you want a left hooker, may I suggest this? http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/602347.htm

I have been knocking around in a Barchetta for the past 18 months and can testify that they are a great little car to drive! They are very sprightly, well balanced and great fun in the bendy bits - also have a bullet proof 1.8 VVT engine that loves to be revved - if they had been made in RHD I reckon that they would have sold as well as the MX-5.......

As for the girly looks - I guess that is a matter of opinion!
