Guys

I'm on the lookout for a watch with white face and blue hands - I'll entertain any case colour and strap. I know Omega make one but I'm looking more for a budget watch - the bigger sized the better!

Any ideas?

Stowa Marine Original

41mm diameter. Simple design that looks stunning from all angles, IMO biggrin

Wearing mine today, and I still love it!

I wouldn't call it a budget watch (around €1000 I think at present) but you could pick up a used Marine Automatic for quite a bit less than this, and I daresay that a used Marine Auto would be pretty good value.

This is a very nicely finished watch, particularly with the blued steel hands and detailed movement behind that big display caseback.

As a bit of a noob to the second watch game - where might be a good place to start looking for a used marine auto? Fleabay?

Marine Original is €790. Marine Auto is €500. Both direct from Stowa.

I believe www.TZ-UK.com has a sales corner for second-hand pieces - worth a look in there.

Good luck.

I asked this a couple of months ago. You have fine taste, im very tempted by an omega broad arrow. The Stowa is a brilliant time piece as well. Maurice lacroix make some nice pieces too.

which you strap would you consider? quite like the look of the steel one.

Very nice looking watch.

For the MO? I took the strap it came with off and replaced it with a crocodile strap in dark brown with slightly lighter stitching.

The metal strap isn't really for me, but that's just my opinion smile

How often do you have to wind the watch?

I wind it up once a day. It would probably run for slightly longer than this, but all my watches are hand wound, and it is part of my morning routine.

if you must know, I do it on the loo first thing boxedin

That is EXACTLY the look I want but not at that budget! I know over on the Christopher Ward forum they were toying with that kind of look for the C2 model as their forum limited edition which would be perfect but it seems to have all gone quiet recently...

I did the same but in navy blue with matching stitching.

Doesn't really show the blued hands but here:
