kING CREDIT CRUNCH, IT'S A MAHOOSIVE RECESSION, YOU MEDIA ttSGood lord. I am really starting to get a little miffed with the way the media are portraying a potentially whopping recession as a nice cute, cuddly little credit crunch.

Sorry, I perfectly understand that there is a difference between a recession and this so-called credit crunch. However, a recession is a drop in overall GDP and it is thought that the UK economy will shrink between 0.8% and 1.2%.
This represents a number of millions, if not billions, worth of contraction of the UK economy, but I have to say that its NOT THE END OF THE WORLD!
Businesses will continue to survive. People will still go to work and mortgages will get paid. Some people here on PH seem to think that the world will end somewhere around June 2008 and there is nothing that anyone can do about it.
Don't get me wrong, its going to be a nightmare for some people (even me), but equally others will survive and some will even prosper. But its not the end of the world as we know it - to quote the REM song.
