Putting the engine & box back together (A+ ex metro) and at the engine mount stage. The steel bracket I have for the front (timing chain) end(which also takes the radiator bottom mount fixes to something on the gearbox with 2 x 4" bolts longitudinally. The gearbox I have bought has a series of threaded holes on a vertical face on the end of the gearbox. I seem to remember that the old box which I have sent off as an exchange had a triangular shaped casting. Was that a separate part that I should have removed from the old box or is the box itself different and if so what do I need now?
Cheers

Yes you should have kept it. It is in fact a square shaped alloy casting that bolts to the end of the gearbox. One of the bolts has a countersunk head which has to be tightened with a "meaty" cross head screw (impact?) driver.

Thanks Rich, I have e_mailed MED and am awaiting a call back.
Hope they'll find it/one around, if not, i'll take you up on that offer.
Guess it's a fairly common cock up, as it's alloy like the box and as I sent off the old one at the same time as the new one arrived I didn't realise.

Sirry Irriot!
