Just been reading this article Link

I contacted these guys a while back on something else, and mentioned TVR, he stated he didn't have much experience with them, but had converted them to run with their Life Racing F88 engine management system (different to the one quoted in the article buy...)

Anyone on here have that system? It sounds interesting, and I wonder if it would be beneficial?

The article says

where AER has pushed the boundaries on the engine is in the realm of electronic control. AERs in-house electronics division, Life Racing, worked in close conjunction with the engine programme to develop an advanced level of electronic control over every possible parameter on the engine. For example, the throttle system works using port pressure measurement as a parameter, which entailed positioning sensors at suitable locations in the engine. It is areas such as this where Life Racing and AER working under the same roof has reaped benefits, allowing AER to punch above its weight technically. I dont think many people run the advanced knock control that we do, with the possible exception of Audi. We try to make the engine run on a per-cylinder basis as well as it can. As a result you have to develop strategies that control the absolute quantity of ignition timing, rather than just removing it when the motor knocks. It’s an active system and its proved to be rugged and pretty effective

Means bugger all to me, but perhaps someone more knowledgeable can say whether it would be better moving to a system like this? Is it an alternative to Emerald etc...
