By "it", I'm not referring to anything of a carnal nature (shame on all you fatty-chasers who clicked here for this reason alone).
What I am referring to is the fact that their actions have directly contributed to their current bodily state - and, unless fundamentally changed, they are likely to find themselves in an early grave.

For background, I work in media, which comes with the benefit of being surrounded by well-educated women (22 of them, in a department of 26 - excellent). While the majority are under 35, well-groomed and eminently pork-able, a couple of whoppers have slipped in under the radar.
These pair can both often be heard to complain loudly, and at length, about their shape, size and weight. They complain that they are fed up with being "plus size girls" (both in their 30s) in a world full of size 8-10 women. They feel it's unjust that they get out of breath walking to the deli counter, and that no matter how many Starbucks skinny cappuccinos they drink, they aren't losing any weight.

On the flipside, these are they exact same women who think nothing of starting the day off with a sausage/bacon sandwich or something equally lardy. Then, not the merest hint of remorse passes their lips as they snaffle down a packet of crisps as a mid-morning snack. Half a pound of "low fat" sushi for lunch, which they kid themselves into thinking is healthy. This often followed by satisfying a chocolate "craving" by about 3pm - Whole enormous bag of Minstrels between two? Why not.

In short, I have no objection to people eating/slobbing themselves to an early grave - it is one's choice. However, when I am subjected to hours and hours of complaining about size/weight/heart murmurs etc., my patience wears thin.

Please tell me that I am not alone in my chagrin...

I find fat people repulsive.
They should be scraped out and used and houseboats.

Most kid themselves into thinking it's in their genes, it makes it easier to accept being repulsively obese if they believe it's not their own fault. Rather than having to face up to being greedy salad-dodgers with no self-respect.

My boss is fat. Not American fat, he doesn't need a mobility scooter to transport his bulk. Last year he had his gallbladder removed *when the eventually found it through the fat) and was told to loose weight and not eat lard. He did well, lost like 5 stone but is now back to normal size. Hes constantly saying "If the wife saw me eating this...." "I really shouldn't be munching on this..." but he still does.

I supose when he goes I can apply for his job.

Aye, it is annoying hear people moan about something as if it's not their fault.

I am overweight and I have nobody to blame but myself. I dont really feel like doing anything about it, i've been overweight since I was in my late teens (now mid-30's) but I know if I wanted to do something about it I could easily drop the weight off. I just dont want to.

I'm fat - 17.5 stone and 5'10" - so clinically 'morbidly obese'.

I DON'T CARE - if I did, I'd have done something about it.

I play 2 hours of badminton a week, go skiing twice a year, can swim a mile, never stopped me having girlfriends (real ones tongue out) and never caused me any issues.

I might die early due to excess weight, but I might die early due to excess speed - who knows!

Winds me right up, you put more fuel in, you need to burn more, otherwise you're going to get fat. Also, how come you can have a go at someone for smoking, say it's disgusting and going to kill them, but it's socially unacceptable to say someone's fat, or they're putting their lives in danger? weird.

I hate fatties!

They just annoy the hell out me.... the most unattractive thing to me other than ignorance is being a fat fk!

Its very simple to lose weight, and even simpler not to get fat in the 1st place!

Now im not talking a little bit of puppy fat, im talking about whales, disguised as humans.

The excuses i hear are fantastic!

Im big boned...... No your fking dinosaur boned.

I have a slow metabolism... yeah right

I drink diet coke etc

Argh... now you have made me annoyed!

I feel the same about the guilty smokers who are always complaining.... " i know it's bad, but i can't just give up" etc , or the rosy cheeked drinkers using the same argument.
