help 280i indicators

Hi,
Can anyone help, the indicators on my 1982 tasmin have just stopped working.

The hazards are working fine but not the indicators.

Its not helped as the relay board is not show in steve's bible so i cant track down the flasher unit.

is it a seperate flasher from the hazards ?

Does anyone have a diagram of the fuse / relay board.

Any other ideas.

Colin I think you can use the diag on page 263 of the Bible.
One relay for the indictors and hazards but different fuse.
Fuse 9 for indicators, but it is shared by elect mirrors and dash warning lights. so easy to rule out.
The flasher should be middle top of the rleay panel. Put the hazads on, you will feel it operating. # 80 on the diag.
88 is the hazard switch
95 is the turn signal switch on your stalk.
81 & 82 on the diag are the bulbs left and right.

My money is on the stalk switch. See if you can get some elect cleaner spray in there and operate the switch up and down. Brake cleaner spray is ok. Have a rag ready to wipe any excess though.

Not big on electrics but same happened on our Griff and it was a diode - finding the bugger was the difficult bit.

Sorted, it was a connector at the switch end.
