Can someone tell me if this will be the same connection in my cerb for the diagnostics cable? My car is away being repaired and i have no idea what is on it.

the car in question is a '99 speed 6.

Any advice would be helpful.

Cheers
Alan

Clever Trevor do one with both connections on it, I would have a guess that yours would be the three pin one. mine has that and is a 2001 model, wouldn't matter though if you had a CT cable.

Sorry to resurrect this thread after so long, but...

Just had a look for the ECU and found it under the passenger foot well as suspected.
I was expecting to find a 9pin serial connection, but instead found one 3pin and one 2 pin connector hanging off it.

Were all later cars (mines a 2003 4.2) fitted with different connectors, or am i not looking hard enough for the 9pin serial connector?

Cheers

Yours is the 3 pin one then, the early ones were the multi pin ones.
