I've been in a standard Elise (as a passenger) chasing a 360 around Thruxton (a very fast circuit). With the Elise in the hands of a very capable driver and the 360 not, it is entirely possible (and lots of fun!).

Righty, thanks.

I can only imagine the Sport 190 lump from PTP is quite positively terrifying.

I like it.

Ben.

If you look closely at the video you can see the rev counter reaching 8000 rpm. So whatever Elise model it is it has to have a VHPD engine in it, my first impression was it being a Exige.

On the web site with the video link it implies that the Elise has 170 bhp and the F40 560 bhp - although being a french site it's listed as (Ch)evaux (horse power)

Not being an experienced track driver I feel I can offer the entirely uninformed opinion that the F40s braking distances seemed to be really long, suggesting that the driver was nursing them at least a bit.

The F40 was clearly out accelerating the elise on the straights though. And the pair of them were clearly trying alot harder than most other people on the track...

I see they don't have any "overtake only when signalled' or "only on the left"! Looks like a real free for all.
