London Stag Do - Bar/Club Ideas needed......

Hello again

Im off on a stag do next weekend in London, and being a northerner I dont know where we should go once there. Can anyone suggest any areas we should try?

Basically we need an area with plenty of good pubs/bars (and maybe somewhere to eat).

We also need to find a decent nightclub to go to, ideally one that will let a big group of lads in. Nothing too mega fancy, and also not a down and dirty cattle market.

Any ideas?

We are staying near Camden, so i was thinking start on the beers there..... Anyone recommend any pubs around there?

Head to Farringdon, plenty of bars that stay open late and restaurants and a no frills strip bar (the Griffin).

I'd ring any club you intend to go to with an all male group, as it can be very tricky getting into places with just 4 guys and no girls, let alone a big group of you.

If you're not fussed about being in London proper, Clapham High Street is by far your best bet for bars, restaurants and clubs.

There was a thread a few days back asking for Clubs/Pubs in london, that has more listed on there. Shouldnt be too hard to find.

Cheers for the info so far.

Farringdon looks like a good option, being not too far from Camden.

Definitely agree with the phoning the club option, just need to pick one first.

Probably better off Farringdon, Angel and Camden.

I have stretch marks but I go for the beer, so cannot rate the girls as a) not interested b) dont go out wearing my glasses.

Seriously though, do some planning and call ahead. If you turn up with a group of drunk guys or even sober guys, your chances of getting in anywhere after 11pm are quite low.

The Shoreditch Triangle (and surrounding area) has everything you need:

Low rent strip clubs
Old fashioned boozers
trendy bars
clubs
restaurants
Farringdon is also merely a stones throw away

This used to be my stomping ground so know it well. Big thumbs up as it would be perfect for you.

No one suggesting the Flying Scotsman in Kings Cross? A delightful and charming little establishment where ladies walk around in bikinis with a pint glass. Drop in a £ and off they go for a little dance on stage. Quite amazing. Definately one for the jaw drop bewilderment factor

Isn't the Flying Scotsman on Caledonian Rd ? Others mentioned are much better.

Haven't a clue of the road name, not a Londoner as such. Walking out of the station first left as you pass McDonalds. The Scotsman is without a doubt the most god awful pub i've ever visited! Great laugh though
