GRAND STANDS??

We have ordered our camping..TL.
...re-booked Speed ferries!!!!!!!
Now deciding on getting grand stand tickets.
So which one, ACO tickets seem to be hens teeth, what do you think. We will deffo go in a stand, we want to do it in style first time, and have stood up at many racing events before, pain in the ..legs

I assume this is your first visit? It won't be the last!
My son and I have been going to Le Mans for the 24 Hours and also the Classic since 1996, and we always get grandstand seats. We much prefer seats in Maison Blanche: it's alongside the Ford Chicane, you can see the pits lane entry and you get a great view and sound as cars accelerate all the way up the pits straight. It's within easy walking distance of the straight after the Porsche Curves too, which is a good viewing area. Being the first grandstand near the pits straight it is not right in the middle of things but access to bars and food sellers is nearby and so is the tunnel to get to inside the circuit and to The Village and all that goes on there. Also, we always park in Parking Blanc which is nearby and so convenient for breaks, sleeping in the car, etc.
We have been in Lagache grandstand too for The Classic. This is located right opposite the pits in the middle of the pits straight so you get to see great action in the pits and all the start/finish activity too. For the 24 Hours the area in front of the pit straight grandstands is seriously crowded as start/finish approaches etc.
Dunlop Bridge grandstand is another seemingly well located grandstand but we've never actually used it.
I would NOT recommend Pits Grandstand itself although it sounds attractive to those who do not know better! It's on the inside of the circuit and is built over the pits themselves, and the pits cannot be seen from it unless you're seated in the front row. However, what you do get is a great view of the track unrestricted by fencing etc which is a hazard with the lower seats in grandstands opposite.
I recommend you get a circuit map before you book so you can see the location of everything.
