37" plasma Panasonic TV..

.. any thoughts on this Panasonic TH37PX80 TV folks? Is it a good 'un? Thanks in advance for any enthusiast/insider input.

Depends on the size of the room.

If you have an average size front room, whatever that might be, then you need 42" minimum really.

I got a TH42PZ80 (full HD version) at John Lewis Watford for £709. Inc Free Delivery and 5 year Warranty. They were price matching Richer Sounds. This was 4 weeks ago so they may not have stock. You will have to call them as it's not online.

That's a great price for the PZ80 at John Lewis! As you said, they're not online as its £830 on there.

I've been looking at the 42PX80, but i'm looking at getting a blue-ray player as well as Sky HD, so i'm wondering whether to consider the full HD PZ80 instead now?

What have you guys got your plasmas connected to?

I've got two of these - a 37 in the lounge and a 42 in the bedroom and they're a cracking quality set. Recommended.

Fantastic picture on both BluRay and upscaled DVD's

Just ordered Sky HD too... although standard Sky looks pretty darn good for the time being!

That looks a good price too! Is there a huge difference between the upscaled dvds on a bluray compared to actual bluray discs?

100hz isn't supposed to be very good for computer games I've heard. Don't know whether thats true or not.
