Hi, just wondering if any person has any experience with the Radtec alloy radiator? If so, was it a good fit and easy to install? Did you notice any improvement in cooling ability? Considering buying one to replace my original rad. Many thanks

I have a radtec radiator - it was the first mod I made to the Griff, and the cooling is now so good that I can use a standard thermostat instead of the TVR low temperature bodge one. Nothing but praise for Radtec themselves - I had a leak on mine caused probably caused by body flex weakening a seam (probably not strong enough in itself) weld. This was repaied and webs added to stop it happening again very quickly and under warranty.

I can't comment on Pace other than saying I wasn't all that impressed with their Scoob intercooler - not a nice fit. But this was years ago, so it could well have been a very early version of said product.

No, had it fitted with my engine rebuild, think its simple enough. Strangely I had a Pace on on my MG many years ago and the workmanship was less than great

Speak (or google) to Docking Engineering at Silverstone. Got one of their rads in my griff. I took my old one over as a pattern, told them to slightly shrink the lugs & it fits a treat. No more overheating issues (even at high ambient temperatures). Also its a work of art, almost a shame to hide it away under the bonnet. Been on the car 4 years now. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Funny I had the reverse experience with a rad for a Westfield from Radtec. I have no connection with either company but have found PACE the best - notleast they are one of the few companies actually making cores. Perhaps just depends who builds it.

The problem I had with Radtec was that the baffle was not even slightly water tight so instead of the water being forced to flow down and across and back then back across the rad it would take a short circuit massively reducing the rad efficiency.

In fairness they said they would remake it but when they went on to qualify that by arguing 'it doesn't matter they all do that' I didn't waste my time. As they are nerarer to me I took it to PACE you fixed it FOC when I collected an intercooler.

It was a few years ago now so they may have learnt how to do it properly now.
