Liquidated stock auctions

Well, after a fruitless Google session that yeilded only sites that promise to tell you where auctions are in return for cash (along with "never fail" auction tips) - does anyone here have first hand experience of these auctions.

Basically, I'm after furniture for the pub. Leather chairs/sofas and the like. Now, I don't want brand new as it's not that sort of pub and similarly, if so many pubs are going under there must be a glut of liquidated stock out there.

Can anyone help me find where and when these auctions are taking place in my area?

No. The only one in my immediate area isn't answering the phone (we phoned to offer our condolences and buy any cheap furniture off them... )

Does anyone know any similar auctions for electrical goods?

In my line of work we come across a lot of companies that buy assets from insolvency appointments.

One that springs to mind is a company called Moorgate Consulting IIRC.

Also a good idea to check with valuation agents/surveyors in your area as we have to appoint agents to value goods and they usually deal with asset sales on our behalf.

Not sure if you can get 'pub' furniture there but you can certainly get leather chairs and the like and you can view.

Yes I have looked, but didnt find anything as comprehensive as the company A1 linked to.

Sorry mate don't know of any south east region. I know one guy who buys from there and sells on ebay with good profit
