Hi all, just after advice. We've got one of these (same colour/etc):

.. am thinking of putting these wheels on it:

Reason being that one of the current alloys has a hole/crack in it, all tyres are fairly worn, one won't pass MoT. To replace the alloy (£450 OEM) and two tyres would be around £800.
The 'M6-look replicas' with cheapo tyres are £775 delivered.
Chav-tastic or good move?

Are the replica alloys any good, or are they going to give up the first time you hit a pothole (which unfortunately might not be too far away in this country).
I would also never put cheap tyres on my car. I
a. Like the grip better tyres offer and
b. after brakes they are probably the most important safety feature on your car.

I agree with the above. Personally I would stick with genuine wheels and decent tyres. Resale/possible insurance issues/safety etc..
£450 sounds a bit steep for a cast wheel. I'm just looking in my 6-series accessory catalogue and most of the cast 18/19 wheels are under £265. Only the forged 19's are £405 each.
