Screen blues..

My rear window - looks like a greenhouse on a council estate - the vinyl has gone all opaque and nasty and no amount of cleaning makes it look good.
need a new one - anyone recommend a trimmer in the south-ish that will fit it for me?
anyone used that place in chessington?
do you have to supply the hood or do they fit it in situ?
cheers in advance!

Didn't use the place in Chessington because I wasn't in London at the time, but here's the address

I paid £220 to have the old hood taken off, and a new window stitched in. Make sure they take all the old glue off the roof bar before they stick it back down or it will come off pretty sharpish.

I had my rear window replaced at Trimmania in Reading (0118 975 8700). They charged me £290 (inc. VAT) and had the car in for 24 hours.
My windscreen policy covered the rear window so the job only cost £60 (the excess) - might be worth checking your policy.
Incidentally, my hood's dark blue.

Ah! The clips? I replaced mine with the Stainless Steel Leven ones. Had to do some strange things with wall plugs as the holes had been stripped, as they just screw into the fibreglass with no backing plate.
No HUGE Bolt rolling around inside the boot and there is a place for it to screw in to, for spar wheel maybe?

You'll have to get the Targa Tops doen as well if you change the colour.
Just on a seperate note, does anybody still have the bags for their targa tops?
Mine doesn't, I'm considering making some.
