I have fairly substantial wrists and normal sized watches look a bit "ladylike", if you know of any larger dial watches that you like let me know?

what sort of budget are we looking at?

i have a sea dweller that looks spot on (IMO) on my wrists. i think they're largeish, but not ape-like (again, IMO) smile

also recently got myself a mudman and love it and think it looks great too.

I think a mudman would be too small, an omega seamaster sits perfectly btw, I was thinking of treating myself in the £150-200 bracket!

Thanks Darren,

I am not too keen on the winders, they appear slighty nipplesque? biggrin

You can get some really nice Marina Militare watches from the bay, but you will need to be quick as Panerai have thrown their teddies out of the cot. They generally run at 44-47mm in diameter and well within budget

Tried this on last week,

It's 48mm and pretty thick and has the thickest rubber strap i have ever seen. Felt huge, but really liked it. Don't know much about the company though.

eeeewwww hurl

TW Steel have quite a nice range - at the price range they are probably Chinese/jap movements, but could be lower end ETA, but I doubt it.

Have you tried U-boat? Aren't they the last word in big watches?

Since this is here, anyone have any suggestions at a different price range?

I've been toying with getting a breitling montbrillant legende(47mm) for ages now, the size looks right on my wrist, but sometimes I think its a little too flashy for my taste. any suggestions?

Can you get a bigger Sinn? They tend to be more subtle, I think.

If Brietling is your thing, for that size of watch, my choice would be the SuperOcean Heritage 46. You can get them in both plain and chorno, my choice would be the plain with the mess bracelet (if you can find one that is)

Getting back on track instead of the "dream team",
how about this?
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&am...

I suppose it depends on what style you are after, Divers, Chronographs, Classics, you'd get some pretty good futuristic lcd/led watches

bluetooth with caller ID on the dial? That's gotta be worth something down the pub!

Graham watches IMHO look OK, what you really want is a
Anonimo Proffesional Chrono.

Them, Graham & several others, mentioned above are all quite happy to produce large, generally over-priced watches if that's your thing.

I presume the bay ones are replicas?
