Well the trusty old Omega is going to be sliding sideways to the great junkyard in the sky, having failed it's MOT big time..... cry

So...........the Sport 160 is now the daily driver!

I've been looking at a few cheap cars from local dealers, but I don't think I'm in such a rush now, I'll wait a while and find the right motor. I feel proper hardcore now! hehe

Now............where did I put those earplugs??......

Nice one. Wish I had a 160, but my regular slow-flavour S1 is my daily too smile

I cannot think of another car I would own as a daily driver other than Exige / Evora or perhaps Gallardo smile

Oh god, what a wimp! I am now the proud owner of a M-reg Corsa auto!!!!!! 500 notes with nearly a years tax and ticket eek

It does me for the daily station-run, where I really don't want to be leaving an Elise, and more importantly, my beloved German Shepherd can sit in the back when I take her round the girlies or out for a run....

My Omega went a few Months back and I'm now back to the Elise as a daily drive. I would worry leaving it in a station car park every day.

So when are you putting a big exhaust and body kit in the Corsa biggrin

I wondered how long it would last. You big girls blousetongue out
I think I might worry if I were leaving an Elise in an Essex railway car park and a £500 Corsa is disposable motoring - makes a lot of sense. I bought a daily driver recently - £1800 for a superb 52 plate Alfa 156 Veloce. Only the 1.8 but its a good steerthumbup

My sport 160 was the daily drivers for over 3 years!! Get that far and your doing well, very well. The ifts year I was without a garage and that was a little testing. But once I had a garage and you could get in the car in the winter mornings and its warm, then it not so bad.

This is my daily driver and I have to say that I absolutely love it, although frozen door locks are testing my patience of a morning it has to be said!!

Chaps................what can I say! To be honest, if it wasn't for the dog, and parking the car at the station, I really do think I could have the Elise as a daily driver now. But I just don't want to be one the many "came back to find my car damaged" victims on seloc and here. Yes, it is a bit of a garage jewel I suppose, but then it is immaculate and I want to keep it that way. As Tim says, it's nice to have a disposable £500 car that can be dumped anywhere without a care. I really do admire anyone that has the Elise as their only car.

It makes absoloute sense to have a station car in your position chap, I would do the very same if I had to.

Plus your S1 is still one of the nicest looking S1's I've seen and funnily enough I have seen one or two!

hehe
