Inspired by the fatties "getting it" thread... Whats worse for your health?

Propper fat boy, 10 stone overweight gut bucket, or 10-20 a day habit and reasonably fit and healthy in other respects, diet and exercise wise.

Im not an expert but I think we've all seen 80 year olds chuffing away, ever seen a huge fat octogenarian?

Nope. me neither.

What does smoking cause.. Cancer, heart disease, lung disease..

Being a fatty. all the above, plus others I'd imagine, Diabetes springs to mind.

Very good observation!

All my lot have been thin, fit, drinkers and smokers and all have lived well into their 80's. (Breath was a bit dodgy though).

Dunno, but I'd much rather smoke and be thin than not and be fat.

Being a proper morbidly obese lard arse will kill you quicker than puffing fags (or smoking cigarettes too) health risks sky rocket for strokes and heart attacks along with diabetes and all sorts of spine and joint problems further reducing mobility and exacerbating the problem.

Smoking, aside from the cost and lots of toxic chemicals if you genuinely eat healthy and exercise it will have a lesser impact on you. You'll still get lots of breathing related issues though.

I'd rather smoke then be fat. Which is why I'm trying to lose some weight! smile
Just got to get the OH to do the same now.
