What mods to people on here recommend doing to strengthen their A Series box?

I'd rather not have to spend £1000's on a box but i'd like something that could withstand at least a little bit of abuse!

X pin diff helps. As for the clutch, depends on how much torque you'll be wanting it to withstand. There are various pressure plates and friction materials to consider.

Realistically i will be looking at 100hp at the flywheel plus probably another 50hp of Nitrous for those oh so sweet BMW Baiting moments!

bare minimum would be a cross pin and a central oil pick up pipe.

if your looking for 100 bhp at the fly, then expect frequent rebuilds.

with the extra power (nitros) expect constant tooth breakages and bearing problems

for any reliability id guess you would need a sc box - to cut the thrust loadings on the bearings and a set of sc timkin drops, the std idler gear (and its bearings) is very intolorant of bursts of torque

for a proper job, you will need a dog box and a lsd, then there is the shafts and the outputs to consider etc etc.

with big power comes big bills!
