M3 3.2 bmw evo engine

Looking to fit a BMW evo 3.2 into my kit car. Anyone know anything about the wiring issues that i may come up against. Eg where and how to pick up the 12v feeds, sensors etc etc ???

That's with the Vano's right.. so you will probably need the stock ECU too..

That's an interesting point. Are there any aftermarket ecus that'll work vanos yet? I'd love to stick a beemer engine (6 or 8) in to something but if you can't get the full advantages from it then it's a bit less appealing.

they are running aftermarket ecu's on the racecars, but i'm not sure if they strip the vanos off or not. I'm sure if someone gets me a pinout of the standard ecu I can tell whats possible.

I'm sure there are plenty of ecu's out there that can do it....

Is it a single Vanos or twin ?

I know the likes of Motec, Haltech and DTA can cetainly run a single Vanos...Motec defo intake and exhaust if present.

Its twin Vanos Stevie, intake and exhaust.

I've been dying to get an S6 onto an S50

I would love to fit one of those engines into a kit car, there must be a reason why no one has done it! Good luck finding out. hopefully someone on here can let us know, it'll be fantastic!

Probably cost, and weight.

I suspect they are expensive to buy....and a big straight 6 is a lump of a cylinder block, as I think they are all still iron ??

Then there is the matter of ecu control, which is slightly tricker than say a 4 cylinder...but still not overly difficult I'm sure.
Length of the 6 could also be an issue....


In reality....a nice LSx platform would be better lol.
