No not fabrics ,screen and digital printing.We supply mostly to a certain manufacturer of heavy plant and agricutural machinery, plus quite a it of automotive stuff .Good luck

I really must have slept through that one...I guess lack of media coverage must have shielded it from some of the populus, as I bought a repo flat and was happy for it.
These days we have news/24 scaremongering 24/7 and the internet...not people spending their money on beer and fags in the pub still trying to ignore the impending doom (but helping put cash back into local business)

Jules, what's that supposed to mean - it's a bit of a mixed message?
I lost my home & job at the end of the 80's, it took me two years to get a job (despite good CV and more qualifications than a thing with a lot of qualifications). This one's going to be much worse, especially if the government keep on trying to increase the personal and national debt...
NB: Simpo, no chance of recovery in 2009 in my opinion, it'll take a few years to sort this mess out...

I'm not sure myself really... I guess back in the early 90's (when i was in my early twenties) I was less aware about financial matters; mainly due to not being flooded all day every day by doom and gloom by the media.Back then it was only the news at six that I viewed, now you can't view a webpage or the TV without being subjected to some sort of mass hysteria.
Right now I'm still thinking media pessimism is breeding more pessimism...and the banks lowering interest rates won't help until the media start talking things up as opposed to consistently 'down'
I don't think it makes any difference what the media says, they're basically just trying to grab people's attention.
This is the biggy, UK is more in debt than all of Europe combined, we are reliant on finance & retail - both of which are in deep deep doo-doo.
Everyone I know (all private sector) are in fear of redundancy. Just look at car makers closing factories... Only the collapse of the pound leading to huge numbers of incoming rich tourists can save us.

There certainly was a big recession in the early 1990s. I am an accouuntant and I saw many clients suffer or go under in the years 1990 to 1994.
This one looks like it is going to be a lot worse although at the moment some of my clients are suffering and some seem not to have been affected at all.
