I was living in New Jersey when OJ pulled the "slow chase" business - watched it live with a local pal. When OJ got off there were many people disgusted that the US legal system could be circumvented with enough money.

I suspect his current sentence up as being "payback" - some of which may be reduced on appeal.

A once popular and fondly thought of sports star brought to an unhappy end.

I genuinely think he has no comprehension of his actions. He has a mental disorder of some kind.

First of he (doesn't) commit a double murder without realising he will be prime suspect.

Somehow he gets off.

Then the complete idiot commits another crime, a serious crime, any intelligent person would know that given the second chance the authorities will nail him for the maximum term. Then he cries and apologises in court again because it dawns on him what he has done. If he had been let free he would only have committed another stupid high profile crime (not the best idea when your semi famous duh).

He's in the best place.
