Morning Guys

I started my 348 tb yesterday as i'd not ran it in over a week. It had been on the battery conditioner and everything was fine. After it had been running for about 5 minutes it sounded like one bank of the engine had gone down. Sure enough i had a warning light on the dash ' SLOW DOWN 1 - 4 '.

I switched off the engine and tried it again, the light stayed on and after a couple of seconds the right bank went down again.

I washed the car off last Saturday night and put it away - the only thing i could have thought would have happened is it could have got damp in the coil pack ?

After wiggling the plug leads around a bit i then started the car and went for a 20 minute run and it drove fine.

The light is now still on - is there any way of turning this off without going to a specialist / dealer and them charging me a fortune ?

Thanks

Simon

Swap the coil packs from the other side of the motor over, you may also want to try swapping the Exhaust packs over as well

It's almost certainly water getting into the cat ecu - certainly can't be the cat overheating wink

When I de-catted mine I couldn't get the old thermocouples out the of the cats so I just left the whole system disconnected to stop the slow down lights staying on all the time.

This points to the CAT sensors which often play up, you can disconnect them, or I think they are about £250 each. Give me a call if you need help.
