Beeping when locking

This is probably a very easily answered question but it hasent happened before in my 6 weeks of T350 ownership. Took the car out today and when i parked up at the end and pressed the button to lock the car, it beeped 4 times as the lights flashed. Tried it again and the same thing happened. Im aware the boot release has started playing up and also the pin isnt quite fully engaging in the lock - is the beeping telling me the boot isnt properly locked?

Yes the beeps indicate that a door or boot is not closed. I Guess if the door switch is not lined up you will still get the beeps even with the door closed.

Thanks - one further question, if i adjust the boot lid pin so that the boot lock completes its action and locks, is there a manual release (like with the doors) as the boot badge is making a connection noise when pressed but nothings happening within the lock mechansim? If there isnt a manual release option am i physically going to have to climb into the back of the car at the garage next time i fill up?!

No release as such but you can get in the boot if you end up locked out but I don't think it should be posted on open forum. Ask your local dealer or email me direct and I can explain

You wouldn't want to use that method to jsut get into the boot for refuelling though, only in an emergency complete lock out situation. No other internal release I'm afraid.

David - probably best to get the lock fixed properly, because like you say its a PITA and one of those little annoying gremlins friends will joke about when telling you have the least reliable car on the planet etc.

Thanks for the input Andy, and I think you're right Trefor, a quick visit to my local TVR specialist is needed, which I think for me is Melton Mowbray way.

My first TVR niggle - I feel like a proper owner now!
