When do adverts appear ??

I posted an advert a couple of days ago and its never appeared even thoughit says its live - just edited it again and still no joy

Just added two car ads - ones appeared the other hasn't ??

Our servers update every hour, but apart from that if your adverts are saying 'live' then they will be on the site.

Cheers. It got there in the end - howevere something very odd was happening !!

If you refreshed the page you soemtimes saw the advert, if you refreshed again it would show the previous page without you advert on ?? you could do this continually and it would show you both pages (before and after).

Another thing - there seems to be an ordering of Trade adverts, then premium adverts then standard adverts - makes sense. However if an item is sold it still remains in that ordering so a sold item will come befores yours - can't we move these to the end of the section ?? i.e. sold Trade/premium adverts will come at the end of the adverts and current trade/premium/standard adverts will appear first ??

Sounds like when you were looking the servers were in the process of updating, so some of them had the information and others didn't, which would mean the advert would come and go depending on which one you ended up connecting to. It should all sort itself within an hour of the advert being posted.

The Trade and Premium adverts are mixed with each other, but in front of the standard adverts. This does mean that 'Sold via PistonHeads' premium or trade adverts appear ahead of standard adverts, but i'm not sure there are sufficient numbers of these to cause a problem. Have you noticed anywhere that it is particularly bad?

Cheers - understand the bit about which servers you are connecting to (thought I was going barmy).

Can't remember which place in particular I thought it was bad - maybe not bad, but just a little annoying (after I thought i was going barmy)
