PRE-TRIAL REVIEW?

What exactly is a pre trial review. I pleaded not guilty and their was an initial hearing which i didnt attend. I had written a letter in the belief that i may get let off right there and then! (its happened before - well, on the morning of the main hearing)

But they want to have a ptr which i dont have to attend if i say how many witnesses i have e.t.c by post!

Will they look at my correspondance on this date and possibly consider dropping the case?

Surely if they missed the "...2000" off your surname you can get off on a technicality?!?

I think they are aware that you have a good chance, and wish to bow out of the proceedings as gracefully as possible to reduce costs.

The Cop who caught me was on his own and his story just does not add up to what happened. I will be taking 2 witnesses to caught vs 1 cop. They have my story in writing and assume its been added to case file!

Has anybody else had any experience of the procedures that signify a possible "No further action". Is it too early to get my hopes up?
