A few pics from my first proper back country ride:
Pics!!
Ride was 21km in then the same 21km back out. 1st 13 were 'intermediate'/3 2nd section was 2/'easy'...
Here's the topo (not mine not this ride but close enough):

Was an excellent day, can really recommend the ride if any of you pop over, we set of 10am back to the car park a 5pm. Lots fo stream crossing, good fun downhills, hard uphills and some pushing.
I was by far the least fit person in the group having only been biking for 6 months, and most of the rest being keen multisportsers or xc competition runners, there was even an Olympic gold medalist in the group...
So , stoked, loved it, body's recovered well, time for more training and hit up the recently opened up St James station next!

Whats right with it you mean?
Looks out side, no snow capped mountains, no gorgeous natural lakes or rivers with schist rock. Going "mountain" biking around here consists of getting thrills from a man made course at the local forest. Not a mountain in sight!
Got amazing beaches and boating scene up here, but I hand the rest to the south I am afraid hen it comes to scenery. Ill be back one day youll see
