Best service for sending parcels to the USA ?

is there a cheaper way of sending heavy parcels overseas ?

royal mail is coming out at about 127GBP for sending a 20kg parcel to the USA
that seems quite a lot, and its only 150 quid insurance cover as well

I've used FedEx for way less than what you're being quoted. And it only took 3 days to send the parcels door to door.

I've used them to post stuff to Germany and the states and they've always been very good.
