rumours abound that we are to be asked/made to take a cut in pay. unions are apparently convening this week
if they vote for it, i take it i have no choice but to accept? i am not in any union but doubt this matters.
does it make any difference if i have a payrise negotiation in progress? a couple of guys here had their pay increased to align them to the right level in the department. i should have received the same but my manager 'forgot' about me. i naturally queried it and he said i had a strong case and should get the same rise, but that is still going through HR.
obviously i would rather have a pay cut and keep my job but am more than a little annoyed that i might be s
t out on the alignment issue. the guys that were made up will be better off on aggregate than they were a few months back
