HI I am looking for a divers watch to replace my seamaster just bit bored of it.
Have had a sub and SD want something different tried on an Aquatimer was a bit dissapointed thought the face was too small what with the internal bezel, lovely strap and weight to it though.

Next on the list is

Any one got one? as I understand quite a big watch.

Any other suggestions appreciated would really like JLC diving gmt but out of price range,
and dont seem to be any second hand one's about? upto circa £3k.

Personally I really like Zenith, they are a true manufacture with a great history and one of the all time great movements in the El Primero, though that one you pictured has the Elite movement in it. But, and its a pretty big but, many of their latest offerings are truly vile, so I'd certainly want to have a good look at it in the metal before committing to one. However, if you like it go for it. Whilst I don't know that particular model as a manufacture they don't seem to hold their value that well, so if you are willing to consider used, you might get a bargain.

I actually have one of the earliest Defys from the early 1970s:

Mine is definitely is not a big watch, but then watches seem to have grown since the 70s.

Im a Zenith fan too, my El Primero Chrono was my first "real" watch and I still love it....but a Zenith isnt a Zeinth to me without that movement in it ...

I quite fancied a new Defy myself, but the chrono version, and had my heart set on one...then found out how big it was. I tried one on when they first came out and it was huge on my wrist so never bothered. Ended up with a nice IWC at the time.

They are a small volume manufacture, when compared with the likes of Rolex - think just 20K watches compared to over a million per year, which is why you dont see them everywhere 2nd hand, but also strange as they dont seem to hold their value either.

But then, they are not mass marketed, not aspired to by the public, mostly enthusiasts.

Anyway, Id go and try one on first and see if your wrists can cope wink

Saw this on TZ-UK.

Baume et Mercier Capeland. Now that's a bit different, whilst still being a proper dive watch.

Lots of info about it.

The Breitling Super Ocean Heritage 46 is a lovely watch in the metal; like yourself, I wouldn't be a huge Breitling fan but this really looks the business.

However, it's absolutely huge and wears big, too, so make sure you can get your shirt cuffs closed before sealing the deal.

If you are interested, there's one with the blue face (which would be my personal choice) for sale on the TZ-UK forums at the moment - no affiliation.

Cheers - thumbup

Its actually a bit of an odd one at once rather ugly but strangely attractive, I really like it.

Speaking of Breitling: I'm not generally a fan. I think most of their range is too blingy and visually fiddly (can't be doing with the Navitimers, for example), but then there's the SuperOcean Steelfish:

ETA: Doh! No point re-posting the Heritage 46 picture.

The Heritage 46 is a really nice watch, but it's farking mahoosive, so probably not so good for stick-wrists. Definitely one to try on before buying!

This chap has 8.1" wrists:
