i have been repeating myself every couple of months but guys i really need this !
i have noticed that my second hand chimaera doesnt have the original headlamps installed!
so i have ordered the original pieces from tms.
my problem is ; because of i dont have any examples that i can look at (there are no other tvrs in my city !)
i need some pictures of "how the original headlamp installation should be?!" regarding the pieces(o-rings, reflector ect) and the installation ...
thanks for the help.

Pages 273 and 274 of the bible tell you all, including a pic with cover removed showing beam alignment screws and cover retaining bolts.
i have go tthe bible but imagine that i dont know anything about the original pieces! its not that i have the original headlamps installed and i wanna uninstall and install them again...in that case i would know how to put them on ...
i need the original layout so that i can see how the pieces are attached and if i need some other pieces...
i am really confused guys!
perhaps u guys could help me also. One oof my headlight beams has gone adrift,I as yet (better get on with it I know ) Have not got my bible (sorry Steve). How do i adjust the beam in quick terms. I assume I Have to remove the glued on surround and then fiddle about with the bits and bobs behind the lamps.?

I confess to being a bit puzzled here Chima - you say you want to see how the original headlamp installation should be, and the (Steve Heath) bible shows that. So if you plan to remove the non-standard parts and re-fit proper ones, what exactly is the problem????
the bible shows a view which is as helpful as saying " this is the lamp and it goes to the hole here"... instead i need to see what are the pieces and how they get attached to each other ?( i have a reflector + a glass+ an o-ring ) how do these things hold on to each other??! which pieces am missing?? something like model making booklets...

Here's a thumb-nail sketch of the V8S headlights, which as far as I can tell are basically the same as the Chimaera ones except for the coloured trim.
The main components of the light all fit from the front. Starting from the bare fiberglass hole, you have: (1) a circular plastic moulding screwed to the shell; (2) a pre-assembled light unit consisting of a reflector and glass lense held together by a chromed metal ring, screwed to the plastic ring; (3) a trim over the whole thing covering the mounting screws. On the V8S the trim (3) is a chromed ring screwed to the bodywork, on the Chimaera it is a painted fibreglass moulding which may be bonded in. The headlamp and sidelight bulbs press into the light unit (2) from the rear (i.e. from the wheel arch). The headlamp assembly (2) is secured to the plastic ring (1) by three screws. One of these is an ordinary screw which is done up normally, the other two have a shoulder just under the head, and a flange on the headlamp assembly fits between the shoulder and the head of the screw; these two screws are only done up part way and are used to align the light.
Hope this sheds some light (sorry!) on the problem ...
