Need a new set of 'rubber' and a wheel recond'd,
are the SP12's a good buy from experience ?
Not too sure about the looks but it is supposed to be
a better wheel, lighter, robust and supports wider rear !
The SP12's are lighter and stronger than the original spiders and IMO look better too. They reduce tram-lining on motorways, make the car feel noticeably more planted and, having gone for 265 tyres at the back, give better grip and more feel as to what is going on between tyre and road surface. I would never put spiders on again.are the SP12's a good buy from experience ?

It will make some difference but on the road, I doubt you will even notice it.

Beg to differ on that.I drove a well set p T350 on SP12's and was suprised at the difference. Smoother ride and more planted feel on backroads around Silverstone.Just my experience.
I think the difference is down to the "well set-up" rather than the wheels. Why would wheels make a car feel smoother and more planted (unless compared with a buckled set?)TVR_owner said:

Hoi Oranje GT TVR, see you got your car ! in your country colours..
The 'spiders' with how many legs ! are not exactly the best made
wheel are they, touch em and they 'flake' ! rubbish quality.
Still does not explain the differnce in the ride Gary. The 'spiders' with how many legs ! are not exactly the best made

Ian,
Ive tried to respond to your email but it wont let me.
Here is what my repsonse was to be..
Just about anything is better than what you have!!
Billstiens are the cheaper route and will give a better road ride - combine this with Tuscan S rear springs (the existing springs become coil bound) and it will fell like a different car.
If you'd asked the question 6 months ago, the following would not have been my answer, but after experience with the race car, I would recommend Nitron with Eibach springs. I have the more expensive race version, but they are not necessary for the road.
Given your occasional track day use will be spirited, I would recommend the Nitrons.
Sorry for not ordering the car with CR box and low diff........

Slightly off topic but if I new them wheels I bought off you John had 255's on the front I may have declined.
I am have a mare getting them to work. I may have to get the jigsaw out.
Must say though they do look very well on the T. Its a shame i just cant go over 30mph or go round corners yet.

Back on topic. Don't know whether some of you know but the TVR PCD and off sets are the same as a lot of the Japanese cars so you don't have to be limited to what the "TVR Specialists" offer on choice or cost.
