Retro looking DAB radios

I've not bought a wireless for donkey's years -- however I have been instructed to buy one of the retro looking DAB radios for Christmas.....

Any recommendations -

You'll have to do a search. There's been plenty about it in the audio press for years. Some problem with the speed and volume of those DAB things that corrupt the signal...

We've got a very retro pale cream coloured Bush DAB/FM radio in our bathroom. DAB works absolutely fine for local radio, radio 2, 6 music and The Arrow. Absolutely eats batteries though - got to run it from the mains supply.

It is probably coughing up blood but by no means dead. Most other countries have gone for different radio standards as they were not as early at adopting DAB so can take advantage of newer technologies that use better compression standards.

DAB probably does not sound as good as an FM set up with a decent antenna due to the heavy compression used but does offer a much greater choice of stations

Still, Planet Rock is only available on DAB so worth it just for that.

I think you mean DAB+, still unlikely in the UK as the install base of DAB receivers is huge downside of the UK being the first to adopt digital radio.
