Can I get a vid from You Tube onto a memory stick?

the easiest way I use is to download Firefox and get the addon called downloadhelper...

then vistit youtube and click on the downloader and it will save it for you.

If you have RealPlayer, you can click a popup to save them.

This is what I do.

Use Downloadhelper (as above) to download the FLV youtube video via firefox.
Then using (free) Riva FLVEncoder which comes with the standalone FLVPlayer I convert the FLV to wmv, all you do is rename the flv file to wmv and it does the rest.
Then you have a wmv version of the video that can be moved and played on any PC.

how do you do that? I've saved the flv file and downloaded the riva software

Do you have a shortcut on the desktop called Riva FLV Encoder?

Start it up, choose the FLV you got from youtube and in the destination video file section change the suffix to wmv, you can also try avi as well, depends what codecs you have installed to convert it. Press the Encode button to start it.
