Anyone else had the problem of only half of it working? Just the drivers side for me

I've inspected the fuses in the engine bay, the 2 x 30A and 1 x 3A are all fine (replaced anyway) but still nothing from the passenger side. Makes me think the connector has come loose, but I dont know where the connectors are

I've seen 2 black connectors just behind the passenger side suspension turret hiding just under the trim, but I dont know what they do

Should I be looking inside the cabin behind the windscreen trim?

I'm sure this has been discussed before over on the www.fordmondeo.org forums. Why not have a nose there?

I'm a member on there and my search didnt turn anything up other than a post I'd already added to about the fuses

I've found the connectors now though, they're under the screen trim and needs the 5 torx screws taking out

Still not fixed the problem so it's looking like a new screen (this one has a crack in it) but might come up in someone else's search

Drivers side doesn't work for me. A lot of the passenger side doesn't either, there are about 4 or 5 strips that do which suggest that it might be individual or small groups of wires failing?

Does that confirm that my grey matter is failing me? LOL!

If you have a crack in it then it sounds like an insurance(?) job for a windscreen replacement firm.

Each side is independently powered and earthed. Ideally you need to get a meter on the power wires to see which has failed, supply or ground. It hasn't had the battery disconnected recently has it? A garage once did that to mine and forgot to replace one of the earths.

I thought they were known for failing at some point...and usually only half a screen at a time.

Surely if you've got a crack in the screen you can kill 2 birds with one stone and when you get a new one, you'll get a fresh heated screen for the price of your excess.
