Im currently looking for a new job but im not sure what sort of role i want to do.
I plan to join the RAF reserve in the new year in some sort of logistical role, i also plan to start a marketing course at Bath uni.
I like sales but i dont want to be selling day in day out anymore.
My question is how did you find your job and did you know exactly what you wanted to do when you started looking or was it something you fell into?

I ended up in my current role fairly accidentally. Did engineering at Uni, worked for RedBull whilst at Uni. Contract with them didnt finish till christmas after graduating in July so I had no inclination to join any grad recruitment schemes. Come 1st of Jan I went, "s
t, I have no job" and this was the first one that came up (project management within engineering which I have learnt as I went along really).Its not for the rest of my life, but at the moment it pays well and I have picked up a lot which is transferrable to other industries and jobs.

I was approached by a Don sometime in Michaelmas of my second year, as I recall. Invited me for lunch and said he had an interesting proposition for me.
So, sat in a quiet corner of Brown's he was a bit shifty to begin with, but ultimately got round to mentioning that he wanted to shag me. Obviously, I said no.
But while there I noticed an ad for a Kitchen Porter position, and I've been here ever since.

ks/piss taking you get at least one half decent helpful post, which sort of makes the initial post worth while.Is your current role that much different to the one you want? I'm worried that because i have a background in sales and the experience in sales that it'll be difficult for me to get a job in a new role as i've only had limited experience in?

well the RAF will give me extra cash, once i have got the initial training out of the way it wont interfere with the full time job, nor will the uni course as it'l be an evening thing.Sure it'll be alot to take on initially but hopefuly it'l lead to a better lifestyle and would have been worth while
