Took car to Paul Matty yesterday. Left it with him and had a run into Brum with my brother. When I got into his Audi, I though I had gone deaf. Was so quiet after forty miles up the M42 in the 160. Hammered it down with rain, not a drop got in (first time in two years that it's been wet). Elise is great fun to drive now and again, but I really could not drive it every day. Hats off to anyone that does. I admire your commitment, but for me with the kids and the dog it will always be a fantastic toy.

All relative as they say....I came to the Elise after decades on motorbikes only.....the Lotus is bloody luxury and soooooo easy to get on with as an every day car.

Alas, main reason I do not use it as an everydayer is the fear of (yet more) hit-and-runs.

I use mine everyday and I love the fact that it makes me exited to drive everyday day. Having said that, since I have had it even my bosses Evo 9 FQ 360 seems quiet and relaxed.

I use mine everyday...that I don't cycle to work, which I do on alternate days.

You can imagine that on every other day, when I use the Exige, it is pure luxury, especially in this recent cold snap!
