Afternoon all - first post anywhere but on the Lotus forums but I saw something different at the weekend and wanted to find out some more.

On the Isle of Wight ferry there was a bright yellow 911 GT3R which sounded the absolute dogs bits. The driver (nice chap) told me it was a factory upgrade kit to the GT3.

I was wondering if there are many about and how it would compare to the new GT3RS? Oh and finally, was it anyone on here???

No, it is a chap called Richard's IIRC, who Iguana has met.

I don't think the conversion is that cheap. Richard has his own coach business or something, and obviously has plenty of cash

He is not a PHer, but I saw him at a PCGB track day.

That's him

He's a regular contributor to the reader's wives section of 911 and PW.

His insane contributions mark him as a worthy PHer

Yip it would be richards car, top man & mad as a box of frogs & as down to earth as they come. Huge conversion costs involved from stock GT3 to get it to what it is now- in the £30k+ area.

Been in it on the road, but lucky old Melv has had a taste of the beast on track.

He's selling it at the mo if you are interested..... £ POA

Cheers,

That's the one alright - didn't have time for a decent chat as I caught him as we were about to disembark.

Do you guys have any idea what the differences between his car and the standard GT3 are apart from the visual ones?

Hey, hey, it's a blast. But failed the noise test at Goodwood when he left the ferry at Southampton...

And FYI, he is also the new PCGB GT3 Regsiter Secretary.

This months 911 & Porsche world has this car for sale and a note from The owner saying he is getting another 'porsche rocket'. This bloke must have a serious need for extreme speed, anyone know what is replacing it.
